Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Upbeat Music Courses and the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the child or children attending the Camp.

By enrolling your child, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.

2. Bookings, Payment and Cancellations.

2.1 Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment (or an agreed deposit) and completion of the registration form on www.classforkids.io

2.2 All fees must be paid by the stated deadline. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your booking.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 If the Camp cancels due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative session.

3.2 50% of course fees will be retained if the booking is cancelled by the parent/ guardian.

3.3 No refunds can be offered for any cancellation within 1 week of the start of the course.

3.4 Refunds are not available for non-attendance, early departure, or dismissal due to behaviour or undisclosed needs.

4. Eligibility and Independence Requirement

4. Independent Learners Requirement

4.1 Upbeat Holiday Camps are designed for children who can take part in activities independently and within a group learning environment. Participants must therefore:

- Be able to follow verbal instructions and join in group music-making sessions without one-to-one support.

- Be independent in personal care (toileting, dressing, eating).

- Be comfortable managing their belongings and basic daily routines.

- Be able to regulate their own behaviour appropriately for their age.

4.2 Additional Support Needs

Upbeat is not able to provide one-to-one or specialist support. If your child requires additional supervision or assistance, we may:

- Request further information or a pre-attendance meeting to assess suitability, or

- Decline or withdraw a booking if, in our professional judgment, participation would not be safe or beneficial for the child or others.

4.3 Disclosure

You must disclose any medical conditions, learning differences, allergies, or behavioural needs that may affect your child’s participation at the time of booking. Failure to provide accurate information may result in the withdrawal of your child from the camp without refund.

5. Programme and Activities

5.1 The Camp provides a structured programme of music-based activities, including group instrument sessions, ensemble rehearsals, workshops, recording, arts & crafts and performances. Children will play outside during breaks.

5.2 Positive and respectful participation in all activities is expected.

6. Supervision and Safety

6.1 The Camp operates in accordance with UK safeguarding and health and safety standards.

6.2 Supervision ratios are appropriate to the age and nature of the group but do not include one-to-one support unless explicitly agreed.

6.3 Participants must follow staff instructions at all times to ensure safety.

6.4 The Camp is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items (including musical instruments) unless caused by our negligence.

7. Behaviour and Conduct

7.1 Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.

7.2 We reserve the right to remove any Participant whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with Upbeat’s values.

7.3 In the event of removal due to behaviour or non-disclosure of support needs, no refund will be issued and collection must be arranged immediately.

8. Medical and Emergency Care

8.1 You must provide full medical and emergency contact details before attendance.

8.2 Basic first aid will be administered where necessary.

8.3 In serious cases, emergency services will be contacted

8.4 You remain responsible for any medical costs not covered by the NHS.

9. Liability

9.1 The Camp takes all reasonable care in the organisation and delivery of activities.

9.2 We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage except where directly caused by our negligence or breach of statutory duty.

9.3 You remain responsible for your child’s actions and any loss or damage they cause to camp property or others’ belongings.

10. Photographs and Media

10.1 With your consent, we may take photographs or videos for promotional and educational purposes.

10.2 Consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time in writing.

10.3 No identifying information will be used without explicit permission.

11. Changes to Terms

Upbeat Music Courses may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available by request. Material changes will be communicated to registered participants.
